With governments around the world prioritizing energy conservation, window and door manufacturers are developing their own passive door and window systems, based on the German Passive House (PHI) testing standard. This eliminates the need for heating in winter and air conditioning in summer. To achieve this, the following steps are required:
1. When constructing a house, provide at least 40cm of insulation on all sides.
2. Choose uPVC windows of at least the 92 casement series, with at least a 7-chamber structure. Replace the internal steel lining with a polyester alloy.
3. Use triple-layer Low-E glass.
4. Use warm-edge spacers.
