PP Plastic extrusion Tooling
PP extruded products have a wide range of applications, with core advantages including heat resistance, non-toxicity, and corrosion resistance:
1. Industrial building materials: acid and alkali resistant sheets, drainage pipes, gas pipes, hollow door and window profiles, and building formwork.
2. Battery separators, environmentally friendly wastewater treatment equipment, and agricultural irrigation pipes.
Our company is highly professional in PP Plastic extrusion Tooling. If you encounter any problems during production, please feel free to contact us; our professional engineers will be happy to assist you.
Common problems and solutions encountered during the production of PP Plastic extrusion tooling are as follows:
I. Product Deformation
1. The main cause is uneven discharge speed due to an unbalanced flow channel pressure design in the PP Plastic extrusion tooling. Solution: In areas with slow discharge, add steel removal material from the third plate at the die head to increase pressure; or in areas with fast discharge, use a cold welding machine to weld the material. The specific values need to be determined based on the discharge speed.
2. An unreasonable design of the sizing water channel leads to different cooling rates around the perimeter, resulting in different shrinkage rates and ultimately, product bending, usually in the direction of better cooling. Solution: Adjust the water flow on both sides.
3. Deviations in concentricity and levelness between the extruder, die, sizing die, and traction machine. Solutions:
1. **Inconsistent Dimensions of Products Produced by PP Plastic extrusion tooling:**
1. Unstable extrusion output: Increase extruder pressure by adjusting the screw-to-feed speed ratio.
2. **Inadequate die head pressure design:** Replace the die head plate to increase the length of the straight section.
3. **Incomplete material filling of the calibrator after exiting the die head:** Causes material to sway and deform under vacuum. Solution: Increase extruder speed or decrease traction speed to fill the calibrator.
**Surface Defects such as Pitting:**
1. Extruder temperature too low, leading to poor plasticization. Increase temperature.
2. Incomplete material filling of the calibrator after exiting the die head, resulting in insufficient friction. Adjust screw speed.
3. **Inadequate die head pressure design:** Low pressure leads to loose material. Replace die components.
Our company has been working on PP Plastic extrusion tooling since 2007. Tooling conducts research and has made molds of various shapes for many countries. If you encounter any other problems during production, please feel free to contact AONA TOOLING. Our professional engineers will answer your questions online.
