PE wood-plastic extrusion tooling
PE wood-plastic extrusion tooling features a die head, two 240mm shaping sections and a 2m water tank. Adopting HRC60 3cr17NiMoV steel, it needs no traction, supports online sanding and embossing, and achieves 400-500 tons output with stable 2.1-2.2 density profiles.
PE Wood-Plastic Extrusion Tooling Equipment Configuration and Performance Parameters
This PE wood-plastic extrusion tooling adopts a mature and stable integrated production configuration. The entire set of equipment consists of a dedicated die head, two 240mm shaping sections, and a 2-meter cooling water tank. The scientifically and rationally designed structure effectively ensures the stability and flatness of PE wood-plastic profile extrusion molding, making it suitable for large-scale, continuous mass production.
In terms of production process, this die does not require additional traction equipment. Relying on the mandrel’s built-in cooling system and the thrust of the extruder, it can complete profile shaping production, significantly simplifying the production line configuration, reducing equipment investment and maintenance costs, and avoiding problems such as profile deformation and surface scratches that are easily caused by traction equipment, effectively improving the finished product qualification rate.
The core components of the PE wood-plastic extrusion tooling are all made of high-quality 3cr17NiMoV special steel, which is wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and high-temperature resistant, suitable for the long-term extrusion operation environment of wood-plastic materials. The mandrel undergoes nitriding, and the die is hardened, both maintaining a stable hardness of around HRC60. This high-strength die structure significantly improves wear resistance and structural stability, effectively extending the die’s lifespan. Thanks to superior materials and precision heat treatment, a single die set can stably produce 400 to 500 tons, offering excellent cost-effectiveness for mass production.
Simultaneously, the entire die set supports integrated online sanding and embossing processes, allowing surface treatment to be completed simultaneously during profile extrusion molding. This eliminates secondary processing steps, significantly improving production efficiency and ensuring uniform surface texture, high gloss, and a consistent finished product appearance.
The density of conventionally produced PE wood-plastic composites is consistently controlled within the range of 2.1-2.2, resulting in uniform density, a compact structure, good hardness and toughness, and stable physical properties, meeting the needs of various outdoor building materials and decorative profiles.
